Privacy Policy

WatchAtlas (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) is operated by Cohen Recovery, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using WatchAtlas you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account data: email address, chosen username, display name, avatar, and optional bio, location, and “collecting since” year.
• Collection data: watches you add, photos you upload, wear-log entries, servicing records, notes, and any other content you save.
• Community data: posts, comments, likes, follows, and reports you submit.
• Payment data: if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing details. We never see or store your card number.
• Technical data: IP address, browser or device type, and basic analytics (page views, error logs) for security and improvement.

2. How we use it

• Operate your account, Collection, and community features.
• Send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, notifications you opt into).
• Detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
• Improve the Service (aggregated, non-identifying analytics only).

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising networks on WatchAtlas.

3. Third-party processors

The following vendors process data on our behalf, under contracts requiring confidentiality and security:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage (US region)
• Vercel — web hosting, edge caching
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — subscription billing (if you subscribe)
• Apple, Google, Facebook — if you sign in with one of these providers, we receive your email and profile info per your consent with them

4. Content you make public

Posts, comments, likes, follows, and your public profile (username, display name, avatar, bio, follower/following counts, and posts) are visible to other users and to search engines. Photos and watch details you keep in your private Collection remain private unless you post them.

5. Your rights

• Access & export: request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@watchatlas.ai.
• Correction: update your profile and content at any time in Settings.
• Deletion: delete your account from Settings → Account, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, posts, comments, and Collection data within 30 days.
• Marketing: we do not send marketing email. Turn off community notifications in Settings.

California residents (CCPA), EEA/UK residents (GDPR), and other jurisdictions with similar laws have additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Data retention

Account and content data are retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated logs may be kept longer for security. Payment records are retained per tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).

7. Children

WatchAtlas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest, use Row-Level Security to isolate user data, and follow industry-standard practices. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected issues to security@watchatlas.ai.

9. International transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access WatchAtlas from outside the US, your data will be transferred there for processing under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We’ll post material changes here and, when required, notify you by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
